Over centuries the royal family De Sauveterre have stayed in ruling over the Kingdom of Redivan. Lately, however, there have been a few rebellions outside of the city. Redivan, with their promising treaties, have all assisted in these battles, coming back victorious. However, there have been issues within Redivan that threatens to tear down the Royal government, as well as with it's people. L'ombre de la Mort, recognized for it's tyranny against the Royal Court, have been a far more persistent this time. Only time will tell with this inner turmoil.

Power System
From the descent of time, it was believed that Adam and Eve were not only humans but were bestowed with unnatural abilities. This translated to modern times, where Kings ands Queens rose with their flourished talents. A small motto goes with the tune of, "we're all descendants of God and Satan." However, there has been a lack of faith and humans have claimed to be Gods themselves--translated to royalty.
When a child is born they are granted with an ability; these abilities are hereditary and are carried out with careful planning from families. Most people label their unique talents as "psychic powers", all based upon a gender biased blood line system. Those who are residents in Revidan must have an ability. However, feel free to have the power skip a generation; those without power will not be social outcasts, because not everyone can live with just their ability alone. Since these are psychic powers it takes a strong mind to be able to use them properly. Excessively using the abilities can result in exhaustion and possible narcosis.
Note: We are giving you the option to create your own powers. However, make sure they are not similar to anyone else's. You MUST be original. Try not to pick an ability that can God-mod, if you are not sure about your ability please contact one of the staff members through a private message.
The system thus goes:
(sibling system *gender biased*) Father -- Son(s) (100 Father/0 Mother) Mother -- Daughter(s) (100 Mother/0 Father)
Father, Mother (one child system) 100/50 (if son, father powers will be dominant, vise versa with daughter)
Sacrifice system: If there is one child born, they will gain both of their parents abilities, but when another child is born it will be split in half for the opposite gender. The weaker the numbers are for half of the power, the less likely that the power will work. First child: Son (100/50) when second child is born (100/25) Second Child: Son (100/25) Third Child: Daughter (100/0 Mother, both sons lose mother's 25/25)
**The sacrifice system is not reversible. Therefore, killing a family member for their ability will NOT work**
Questions:
Does killing an unborn child (the fetus) allow a person to keep the other half of their power? Yes, because it's not a complete life.

Races
Redivan
The inhabitants of Redivan are humans born with extra-ordinary powers. The gift may come to some as a gift, but to others it will be looked upon as a curse. The life spans of the Redivan are the same as any other human's, and the only way to distinguish them from other humans is their powers. The Redivans are not always peaceful people, and they do not always get along. Although they reside in the safe haven, there will always be disagreements and conflicts of beliefs.
Note: Not all Redivans have a power. Some residents are immigrants, others might be the occassional odd one out. Those without powers are never looked down upon, but it's not common to see someone lacking a special ability.
Myth: All Redivans have a special power. Myth: They are unwelcoming to outsiders. Myth: They never disagree and follow the monarchy without question. Fact: The strongest powers mostly reside within the royal bloodline. Fact: Over-using a power can create exhaustion or worse in an individual. Fact: There is a well-sized group opposing the monarchy. Fact: Powers range widely over the inhabitants. Fact: People are ranked according to power.
Nosferatu
In a world dominated by extremely powerful humans, they have no option but to comply with society. Most of the living Nosferatu have alliance themselves with Kings and Queens from many generations, giving immortals the credible safety within human society. By serving humans they are given their nourishment, a fair trade. Those who have severed ties with the royal families are labeled as tyrants, and the chance of them surviving long not as likely. Those who are committed are usually seen as "Royal Guardians." After all, their one weakness in the entire world is: royal blood, the purest form of reputable power.
Note: Nosferatus are allowed to have an ability, too. Yet, their greatest resolve is having immortality. Please talk to an admin about your ability.
Myth: The immortals cannot walk in the day light. Myth: Crosses are garlic are the immortals weaknesses. Myth: They must sleep during the daylight. Fact: Their physical attributes are different: canine teeth, pale skin. --easily distinguishable from humans. Fact: They do survive on blood for nourishment. Fact: Their weakness is silver and royal blood. Fact: They do not need sleep, but it is recommended.

Questions:
History? On the journey to France, a team of humans also possessed with Sin had traveled with Anitone and Jedira. They were faithful to the two leaders, protecting the two when it was necessary, though it hardly was. Anitone and Jedira were grateful for their loyalty. During the fight over the land of Fervisa (now Redivan) a tragedy had befallen one of their loyal companions, Tyrael. The Sin Tyrael had possessed (the ability to heal wounds quickly) started to mutate, dysfunctionally when a wounded Antitone ran to his companion's assistance. Despite Tyrael gripping for life, and his powers too weak to work, there seemed to be another strand of life.
After the battle, Anitone and Jedira watched over their friend. Tyrael fell in and out of consciousness, growing paler but not weaker. Every wound had been healed. Tyrael, upon his awakening discovered that his mouth was far too dry, and even painful. For some reason had been gifted with canine teeth. Consequently, to all the physicians that looked over Tyrael had found him dead. And when he thirsted, it was not for wine, but for blood of another.
At first, it wasn't a problem, both Anitone and Jedira could never turn on a friend who had never turned on them. In a sense, they had protected Tyrael and their group had offered blood when needed. When Anitone had offered a little of his blood, and it dripped onto Tyrael -- it ended up different. The blood started to burn through Tyrael's flesh like acid. If it was not for Tyrael's ability to heal wounds as it was, he would have surely died. That was when Tyrael discovered his weakness. Over time, the rest was revealed as he experimented with Jedira's physician. They had made mortals into Tyrael's kind, labeling them as "Nosferatus". They have protected the Royal lineage ever since.
(Tyrael is scarcely recognized in the tale of Anitone and Jedira).
Do Nosferatus have red eyes? They can, but you have to give a good reason as to why they are.
How much royal blood can kill them? A drop will injure, but if removed fast enough it will heal. A lot of blood, like drinking it, will cause almost an instant death.
And feeding? Whenever they are hungry.
Can Nosferatus make more of their kind? If so, how? They can. The person being turned has to be near death, drained of their blood and then drink the blood of the Nosferatu. Making another Nosferatu requires ADMIN approval.
Can Nosferatus have children? Yes, but not in the traditional sense. Only those of direct royal blood can create a child with a nosferatu. The process is very dangerous, and it has not been tried due to the complicated nature that would likely end in both mother and child's death. SEE ABOVE on how to turn humans in to nosferatu.

Alliances
Royal Family: Those allied to the royal family believe in the current monarchy. They have put all of their faith in the workings of the queens and kings of all generations and the prosperity they are certain to bring to France.
approves of monarchy may have faith in Jedira and Anitone believes that the bloodline should be kept pure willing to serve their country variety of civilians and nobility
L'ombre de la Mort: L’ombre de la Mort is a centuries old resistance faction that opposes the royal bloodline. They want a change for their country, whether it is good or bad, and thus, they are trying to tear down the monarchy at all costs.
wants a change disapproves of the never-changing monarchy desire for another type of government do not always like each other secracy, even of idenity
Nosferatu: The centuries old nosferatu may work well with the royal family and have a peaceful relationship with them, but when it comes down to it, they are still loyal to their own kind above all. Those allied to the Nosferatu may have no ulterior motive other than a distrust in humans.
stay out of other people's business fight for what they believe in centuries old alliance with Royal Family not all nosferatu are loyal to each other small group

Fighting
This forum follows a T-1 system. For those of you who don't know what T-1 is; it's a system basically like role-playing, with description while leaving attacks open-ended, without god modding.
Remember that a good overview and description of the area your fighting in, is a must for fights. Prepare a good introduction for your character to begin such a situation.
T1 Fighting is a paragraphical RP combat system. This deals with positioning and attempts.
Positioning is the placement of your character, his/her weapons, arms, legs, and basically every part of their body. In certain positions you cannot react well to given conditions or events. This may seem complicated but try to be realistic. At times your sword is in a riposte, or parry will be innefective to block another attack depending on the placement.
Attempts are just that. You cannot autohit someone, that is to say, determine your opponants fate or what they would do. You must give them a chance to react to the circumstances presented to them. Remember, sometimes you just have to take a hit, you're not immortal either; if you're slashed across the chest, it's going to hurt like hell. Basically, you are trying to force your opponant into a position where they have to take a hit.
Arena
There will be arenas in Redivan, where two players agree to fight each other in a match. Usually, these matches are on display; most of those who can afford betting on an opponent, will. There are certain types of matches, rarely are they for death. It is the fight to exhaustion, the players may be equipped with a weapon of their choice and use their abilities. The winning opponent may receive a merit or a gain in rank. The loser, on the other hand, will probably suffer a slight coma. Exhausting ones abilities can result in a lot of pressure to the body, blood may drain from the eyes, nose, ears, and even the mouth if it affects as much as the internal organs.
